Former media coordinator of Maldives National University Students Union (MNUSU) Mohamed Shaan Amir gets elected as the President of MNUSU, and Aiminath Sama as the Media Coordinator of MNUSU.

The two posts opened up for an election due to the resignation of the Former president Arushad Ashraf and media coordinator Mohamed Shaan Amir. Arushadh Ashraf resigned on 13^th June 2019 and Mohamed Shaan Amir on 14^th June 2019.

Application for the election was opened on 16^th June 2019, but only two applied when the deadline reached on 27^th June 2019. So both the post got elected automatically. Although they got elected in the middle of the 7^th term their term will also finish when 7^th term finishes.

The letter of appointment was given to the two members by the Vice Chancellor DR. Ali Fawaz Shareef at the ceremony held in the A-Block conference hall on 8^th July 2019. Deputy Vice Chancellor madam Aishath Shaaheen , Dean of students madam Nadiyaa Ahmed and the student representative of MNUSU Council Ali Rasheed and the former president Arushad Ashraf also took part in the ceremony.

The 7^th term of MNUSU EXCO would come to an end with the end of second term of studies.
