Women division of Business School secures the champion title of inter faculty volleyball competition.



Business School (MNUBS) secures the champion title for the second time of “MNUSU Inter Faculty Volleyball Competition 2019” organized by the Maldives National University’s Student Union. Final match was played at Faculty of Education’s PE Hall against the Faculty of Health Science (FHS). Business School won the match from 3 set 1 set. With this victory they have secured the title twice in a row.

With quite ease the Business School won the first set with the score of 11-25. Meanwhile in the second set Faculty of Health Science ties the set with a score of 19-25. The final two set was taken by the Business School with a score of 20-25 and 08-25. The Faculty of Health Science got into the finals without getting defeated in any of the previous matches they played in this competition. After winning both the matches from the group stage, at the semifinal match Faculty of Health Science had a face off match with the Center for Foundation Studies (CFS) and won the game with 3-2 sets. Business school got into the semifinals by been the team with the best runners-up score among all the groups. And after a very competitive match against the School of Nursing (SN), Business School won the match with2-3 sets. Jersey number 5 of Business School Shamha Riyaaz was selected as Women of the match in the finals.

Total 9 teams took part in the Women’s Division and the certificate of participation was awarded to the teams by the former President of MNUSU and MNU’s council member to represent the students Mr. Ali Rasheedh.
