President of MNUSU for the 09^th term, Abdulla Shahuneez, has taken office and has stated that he aims to register an online news/magazine at MNUSU during his tenure.

He highlighted on his plans for the term while addressing at the ceremony held to inaugurate the 9^th executive committee of MNUSU at FE Auditorium. He further explained that his team will be focusing on health and nutritional activities under the advice from Dean of students, in the ceremony held on Sunday afternoon, 09^th November. He also said that the wait for the magazine will come to an end under his tenure and that he has high hopes to conduct a walking event to celebrate the anniversary of MNU, which falls on 01^st of September.

He also stated that he will further decentralize MNUSU and aims to take the union to a new level while he announced that his team will introduce “clubs” within the students’ union in the upcoming year.

He concentrated a lot on MNUSU media in his address.

Additionally, he talked about his plans to upgrade the website of the union which includes a portal that can collect students’ complains. In his hopeful speech President Shahuneez stated that MNUSU is currently working with the MNU Marketing in promotional activities for MNU.

Before ending his speech, President Shahuneez disclosed the names of the advisory board members of 9^th term: Ashraf, Mohamed Shaan Amir, Ali Shamoon, Adam Rushdhee and Ali Ameer.

The Maldives National University Students’ Union (MNUSU) is a registered student union aiming to increase student’s participation in social, academic and sports activities, and an organization which creates a platform for students who want to showcase their skills.
